Speak What We Feel - Performances

Join us at Senate House Library to explore identity in the 21st Century through Shakespeare and creative performance. On 23 April we will host Talawa Theatre Company as they perform and workshop their way through the Senate House building, inspiring us all to explore ourselves through the written word.

You know that feeling when you just have to tell the truth or you will burst?

Come on a journey to discover five characters who tell it like it is. Created by some of the most exciting new Black British writers, Talawa Theatre Company and the Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester present five short plays inspired by a line from King Lear: Speak what you feel, not what you ought to say.

Talawa Theatre Company is one of the most successful Black theatre companies in the UK, mounting more than forty award-winning touring productions taking in everything from Shakespeare to African classics, Oscar Wilde to new Black British work and Nobel-prize winning playwrights to high-voltage musicals.

Performances at 12 and 2pm - limited spaces so book here.
