Exhibition
meta | mor | phosis (noun)
A change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one
(Oxford English Dictionary)
Our Metamorphosis exhibition reveals seven ages over which Shakespearean text and scholarship has undergone a process of evolution and change. We start in the sixteenth century with the various sources upon which a man from Stratford upon Avon drew inspiration to create poetry and plays, to the latest digital texts and supporting multimedia content.
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.
